25 years of jazz… La Vella Dixieland, is a unique case within the Spanish musical panorama. Funded in 1980, they join together as a group of friends to play their favourite music, classic jazz.

Since then the have been progressing constantly, becoming professional in 1981 and recording eight records, they have done more than 1.800 performances, they have participated in the world best jazz festivals and have collaborated with many Spanish artist: Els Pets, Bars, Lax'n & Busto, Los Rebeldes, Gatos Locos, El Tricicle, Comediants, Boni&Caroli, etc.

During these 25 years, the band have been included in the programme of many national festivals, sharing stage with artist such as Leroy Jones, Monica Green, Kathy Autrey, Michele McCain, Josep M. Farràs, Big Mama, Coral Sant Jordi, La Locomotora Negra, Txell Sust, Laura Simó, Marian Barahona...
